In May 2021, a new publication about Abelardo Lafuente and his starting period in Shanghai China (1913-1915) was published by the China Social Sciences Press special publication, following the incredible Beijing Symposium in September 2018, when the Instituto Cervantes and the Beijing Foreign Studies University invited over 30 of the most important Chinese and foreign researchers about the historical relations between China and the Hispanic World, and it was organized to commemorate the 400 years of Diego Pantoja's passed away.

The publication of this huge volume, including over 750 pages, had two sides, one fully in the Chinese language and the other side fully in the Spanish language. It includes all the texts from different specialists, divided into five panels. Our article was part of the Panel III: The relations between China and Spain in the XIX and XX centuries: diplomats, merchants, adventurers and idealists together with professors and researchers as Alfonso Wei (Universidad de Economia y Comercio Internacional), Jose Eugenio Borao Mateo (Universidad Nacional de Taiwan), David Martinez-Robles (Universitat Oberta de Catalunya) and Ning Siwen (East China Normal University).

The symposium was an excellent moment to meet many specialists and enjoy the masterclasses from experts as Zhang Kai, Manel Ollé, Juanjosé Morales, Isabel Cervera, Li Tiangang, Li Chenguang, Jose Antonio Cervera, Elisabetta Corsi, Albert Recasens, Xulio Ríos, Enrique Dussel, Enrique Rodríguez Larreta, Guo Cunhai, Huiling Luo, Dolors Folch, Antonio García-Abasolo, Guadalupe Pinzón, Ye Junyang, Anna Busquets, Luo Ying, Peng Haitao, Alicia Relinque, Zhang Xiping, Tang Kaijian, Yang Huiling, Pablo Robert Moreno.
