Thanks to the School of Architecture of Valencia (ETSAV) and "Catedra Living Architecture" from Livingceramics for their support to the ETSA-topia2024 Festival called "After ETSA". Thanks to them on the last day of this edition as the "Farewell Lecture" Alvaro Leonardo Perez (former ETSAV student) was invited to explain the Abelardo Lafuente Research Project and how students can make their way in Asia in the future like Abelardo did first, then Alvaro, and from now on they will do.
This has been the first conference about the life of Abelardo Lafuente in a School of Architecture in Spain, after those of the Shanghai and Manila schools, and we hope to be able to continue with more to make young architects aware of how challenging but satisfying it is to undertake outside our comfort zone.
The lecture was hosted last Thursday, May 23 at the space named "Sala de Proyecciones" located in the main lobby of the Faculty becoming a truly special event for students and several professors who joined to learn about the most relevant Asia regions and the fascinating story of determination of Abelardo Lafuente at the Golden Era of Shanghai a 100-years ago.

The lecture ("Abrirse camino en Asia como Arquitecto: el caso de Abelardo Lafuente hasta la actualidad") content was an incredible surprise for all and warmly welcomed as they discovered the architectural legacy shared by both countries Spain and China in Shanghai. It was also an exceptional opportunity for students to learn about the most relevant cities in the six Asian sub-regions.
Thanks to the students who organized all these activities: Ismael Chlebus & Diego Serrano and their dedicated team, because they managed to do so while studying and the festival is becoming a reference in the University environment.
