Kincheng Banking Project

This is a project at the back of the Bund in Shanghai. We found blueprints of the "Lafuente & Yaron Architects" project as a proposal but the real building composition is completely different.
Surprisingly, in their personal letters and office accounts there are a lot of references to payments from the Kincheng Banking Corporation client as per their personal correspondence found at Leonardo-Perez, A, 2019 UAH PhD dissertation.
Please help us find further original information like the exact date and hand-drafted plans and let us understand the reasons why the building was finally different.

This is one of the most significant projects for banks in Abelardo Lafuente's professional career in Shanghai since it is mentioned in some press releases that he did some others, although we couldn't discover them. The façade is resolved with a clearly neoclassical style, although the differences in composition are notable between the proposal (Sheet 14.27a_2019 PhD UAH Leonardo Perez, A. page 407) and the built reality (Sheet 14.27b_2019 PhD UAH Leonardo Perez, A. page 407).

We can only attribute the reason why this happened to the stoppage that all works in Shanghai suffered in 1926 due to the unstable social situation, but there is nothing to confirm it.
