Villa Rosenfeld Lawsuit Shanghai 1924

In 1924, there were several news reports in the Shanghai media about the case brought by A. Lafuente, the architect of Villa Rosenfeld (later known as the villa of the three Song sisters) and currently still standing in 11, Donping Road, Shanghai.
Back then, A. Lafuente, the architect, brought an action against Mr. A. B. Rosenfeld, a cotton merchant, claiming his payment for professional services rendered and money advanced during the construction of the villa in previous years.
The private single house was completed by 1921, and it was one of the most remarkable villas in the neighbourhood.
