First Neo-Arab Project in Shanghai

This manuscript text was written by architect Abelardo Lafuente to his daughter in Madrid. On the back of a photograph of the "Mr. French House," his very first project in the Spanish Neo-Arab style, he inscribed the following description:
"I'm currently building a fairly large house in a very good location for a family, in a pure Arabic style. When it's finished, I'll send you a photograph and perhaps a floor plan, as it won't be completed until February. It's made of reinforced concrete, and its style is attracting attention here, as it's the first of its kind."
