This mosque's project was described at a 1926 personal letter discovered by A.Leonardo during his research. The author described at his letter as: “The plans of the Proposed Mosque is to be built at Chekiang Road, Central District on the same land at present occupied by other one, built forty years ago. The New Mosque is projected of the latest Omman period of Mohammedan Cultus buildings, with a central dome over very original pentagonal plan." (continues).
