The Ballroom space built as annex to the hotel renovation by Abelardo Lafuente (since it was not the main building) was its most recognized and famous space. This dancing room is still
famous in the city for its design and magnificence.
Due to its design and significance for Chinese society, Chiang Kai-shek decided to celebrate his wedding there, and therefore the image of that central part of the project with an indoor fountain is still recognizable today in front of the band's peacock.
