BRIEFING: The story of the unknown presence in China of a Spanish architect in the decades of greatest international cultural mix in the city of Shanghai will be presented. Abelardo Lafuente (Madrid 1871-Shanghai 1931) began his career in the Spanish Philippines in 1898, he triumphed in China until 1926 when he worked for the Hong Kong and Shanghai Hotels Ltd for 10 years building their hotel interiors in Shanghai and South China including Hong Kong.
